Buildings in Lyneham have also seen their fair share of transformations. In 1861 a National School was built opposite St Michael's Church replacing an earlier built school. On adjoining land, a new primary was built in 1953 as well as an infants school close by in 1965. It was only in 2017 that the Victorian building was then converted into commercial office space.
