Every Friday between 08:00 - 14:00, Flitwick hosts a market at the Village Hall’s car park. Though small in size, Flitwick Market allows for a range of different traders to showcase their goods. Stalls consist of fish and shellfish, fruit and vegetables, and cakes and savouries, to mention a few.

Located between Flitwick and Greenfield, Flitwick Moor spans over 59 hectares. This wetland is a destination of Special Scientific Interest due to its fascinating scientific influence. Years ago, the acidic water from the springs was bottled as a tonic, and more recently, the peat cut from the area was used to purify natural gas.

Manor Park is another serene outdoor delight. The park boasts a medieval fort, known as a motte and bailey castle called The Mount.

There are several restaurants in the vicinity of Manor Park. One such place is Best Kebabs which is a Turkish restaurant on 2 Steppingley Road, Franklin House.

Flitwick’s has a few popular landmarks that residents and visitors alike enjoy. Land at Clay Hill was the UK’s first solar farm that was developed without subsidy from the government. Operated by Gridserve, it generates enough electricity to power approximately 2,500 homes.

Built in 1873, The Old School, Flitwick has recently undergone a complete refurbishment. While the structure of the building has remained the same, the interior has been refurbished to maximise the space, and it is now used as a community centre and venue for hire.

Another restored landmark on Greenfield Road is Flitwick Mill. It was originally built by the Monks of Dunstable Priory, and evidence of its existence dates as far back as 1085 Domesday.
