Three Thousand Reviews and What They Tell Us

Jamie and his team were Fantastic, a review left by Mrs L Clunie on August 20,2022
“Jamie and his team were fantastic! Organised and helpful from beginning to end. I can't fault the service.”

This was the 3000th TrustPilot review for easyStorage and we at easyStorage are oh, so proud.

The first ever easyStorage review read:

Brilliant service, a review left by Mike Lawrence on Sept 2, 2018.
“Brilliant service, helpful staff, went beyond the call of duty. Totally recommended.”

Note the mentions of our amazing teams - they really are what makes the difference for our customers, something that’s still happening four years on.

We regularly look at our reviews to see what can be fixed and how we’re doing:

No-one should claim to be perfect – if they do they’re almost certainly lying. So we think one of the most indicative reviews we’ve seen of our approach here at easyStorage was one given to the Oxford team.  Sometimes things go wrong, but – whatever the reason, whoever or whatever made the mistake happen -  it’s how we deal with them that makes the difference.

Excellent easyStorage Trustpilot reviews

Against competitors

We compared our results to both industry average (collated by TrustPilot in 2021) and against the three largest self storage operators in the UK.

It is, of course, rewarding to see that the self storage business as a whole earns a far better rating than most. But we have a quiet pride in the teams that have pulled together to make easyStorage an industry beater in terms of customer satisfaction.

About TrustPilot reviews

Trustpilot is a review platform that’s open to everyone: in 2021, 46.7m reviews were written, 16.9m in the UK alone. They were read by 508m people.

As a platform TrustPilot reviews are important to us at easyStorage. TrustPilot appears to do everything it can to avoid fake or purchased reviews and ‘review sellers’, and whilst we’re sure the odd one or two determined folk may slip through, the trust that inspires is a trust easyStorage wants for its customers.

In 2021, businesses that actively invited their customers to leave reviews had an average TrustScore of between 4.33 and 4.35. At time of writing, our TrustScore at easyStorage is/was 4.9, something of which we are hugely proud.

This TrustScore is based on our behaviours as well as us inviting, consistently, our customers to review us.

On average, companies have around 73% 5-star (Excellent) reviews. By contrast, excellent (5-star) reviews are awarded by a stunning 92% of our customers.

We don’t ever want to earn a bad review, and take it seriously if we ever do. We aren’t going to pretend to perfect – that would be unbelievable – but we have only ever had 2% ‘bad’ reviews and invite readers to take a look – they’ll see that at least one of them is a fake review. The average is 14% 1-star (Bad) reviews.

So 3000 reviews in, we’re at least 19% better than average and things go badly wrong seven times less than average. We want to thank our amazing teams, our franchisees and their amazing teams, and most of all our customers for putting their trust in us. We promise only to do our best never to let you down.

Meeting Halfway with a Messy Roommate

Living with a roommate has its pros and cons, whether you are college students or professionals who live under the same roof. The advantage is, we get to have someone to share the bills and rents with, especially if you are living in a city where rent is, normally, at a premium. However, the downside is when you don’t have the same set of standards, especially when it comes to managing your apartment and maintaining its cleanliness. You are fortunate enough if both of you are neat freaks, then, everything in your apartment will be smooth and easy. But, what if you are not on the same page? Then, that could be a problem. Having an unhealthy argument is the last thing you want when it comes to dealing with an issue.

Self-Storage: Preventing Hoarding Tendencies

When you hear the word "hoarding," it may sound like unusual human behaviour. But if you dig deeper, at least from a psychological perspective, it is a disorder that can affect a person’s life, be it emotional, physical, social, or financial. The good news is, this type of disorder can be treated. According to the American Psychiatric Association, two types of treatment can be done with hoarding – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and medication, each type applies depending on the severity of the case.
