Storage Units As A Property Clearance Solution!

If you are a property owner or manager, there may come a time when you’ll have to clear/empty that property of all items of furniture and furnishings like carpets, curtains, chandeliers and any other non fixed items.

The most common reasons include, renovating, sale of property and new owner does not want your old furniture and the same reasons for your new tenants. Also if you have bought new furniture and delivery is due sooner than you’d hoped to have either sold or given away, your current furniture.

For whatever reasons, you now need a fast and secure solution to ‘decant’ your belongings before the new owner, tenant and furniture arrive. Storage units are the ideal solution for this and many other reasons. Unfortunately this solution is not without its challenges and problems.

Apart from the cost; you have to do everything yourself. From ‘decanting’ your items into a van/lorry to driving and ‘decanting’ from the van/lorry, into the unit you have booked at the storage base. (This could be a distance from your property; and on the top floor of a storage building. Not to mention the physical nature of the ‘job’ and other stressful requirements of moving furniture.)

I have experienced this when selling the old family home and moving my family to our new home. (In a different town). Never again! By the time we finished the move, I was exhausted and wanted a week to recover. Unfortunately, I had to return to work the next day. It would have been nicer and easier to have someone do it all for me.

If only that solution was available back then, I would have paid the price asked. Today there is ‘easyStorage’. The answer to my dreams. They do everything you’d have to do yourself and more. You just tell them what needs to be moved.

In short, they come to you and discuss your needs and timeline for the clearance of your property. They work out the size of the 'easyPod' needed and the ideal storage unit to house your stuff, safely and securely. They collect from your property, load the van, drive the van, unload and store in the chosen unit for you. And best part, they’ll return your items when you want them back in the same manner. You don’t have to lift a finger and conserve your energy for other more enjoyable activities.

As for cost; there is nothing more to pay after your agreed price is set.

For me, this is what makes putting items into self storage units with easyStorage an ideal solution. I recommend this service to all my clients, friends and family. You get to keep your sanity; and you also gain the space and tidiness in your property.

Traditional Storage Vs. easyStorage: Which One is Better

As Hassan Fathy once said, tradition is the social equivalent of personal habits. Habit, comfort zone, belief – these are just some of the words we can associate with the word "tradition." It is something that has been part of our lives that is so difficult to get rid of. Being open to innovation is hard for people who do not welcome the idea of getting out of their comfort zone. The hassle and inconvenience of learning new things are some of the reasons why people do not accept change. However, change is the only permanent thing in the world. We do not have a choice but to keep up with it. Else, we will be left behind.
