Zoheb Khan Joins easyStorage as a Storage Solutions Specialist

easyStorage is delighted to tell the World that on May 30th Zoheb Khan joined the Storage Solutions Team at easyStorage.

He was previously working in a technical support role for HSBC, part time, and from home. Most of his work involved helping people back into accounts that they had locked themselves out of, a job that was very fast paced. Moreover, because of the sector (finance) and the security needs of the job, it was bound by strict protocols.

That need for speed, accuracy and customer service are serving him well in his new role at easyStorage. As customers problems are usually important but not immediately urgent, and he has more freedom to create good solutions for everyone, he’s thoroughly enjoying it and is thriving in the new environment.

He’s already meeting goals and objectives, and has settled in well with the team. His daily routine is far from routine, handling calls, calculating what space they need, helping find customers the right storage package for them, writing up quotations… no two days are the same.

Zoheb also speaks highly of his colleagues, who he describes as ‘amazing’. They’ve been as helpful with him as they are with customers. They have been truly supportive as he learns the ropes in his new role. Learning the new systems is possibly the hardest part of any new role, but he’s even settled into that part of his new life at easyStorage.

(Readers of this blog may remember being introduced to Anneshia and Rahim, who are on his team alongside easyStorage ‘veterans’ Sonia and Joseph.)

He speaks equally highly of the customers, who he enjoys getting results for.

He’s loving the move from working at home to the structure of being in an office, full time, and the commute works well for him. From home in Hayes to the Uxbridge office takes just 15 minutes, 25 on a bad day. This allows him to maintain a healthy work/life balance, and he plays racquet sports, football and basketball when he can. His philosophy is to use the sport as a way to create the energy to be able to keep the buzz going at work – and thus far it seems to be working.

Asked if he’s ever met someone famous, he used to work at Heathrow Airport and so has met celebrities including Sylvester Stallone, Cristiano Ronaldo, Courtney Karshadian, and Idris Elba. As a real fan of Elba’s work, it’s reassuring to hear from Zoheb that he’s as down to Earth, friendly and approachable as his image.

Despite the airport connection, Zoheb’s last foray abroad was to Morocco, where he loved quad biking, just before the pandemic. As soon as peak season is over and the children are back to school, he has plans to reignite this passion.  We look forward to hearing about his adventures.

Look out for him and all of our other team members on our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram.

Traditional Storage Vs. easyStorage: Which One is Better

As Hassan Fathy once said, tradition is the social equivalent of personal habits. Habit, comfort zone, belief – these are just some of the words we can associate with the word "tradition." It is something that has been part of our lives that is so difficult to get rid of. Being open to innovation is hard for people who do not welcome the idea of getting out of their comfort zone. The hassle and inconvenience of learning new things are some of the reasons why people do not accept change. However, change is the only permanent thing in the world. We do not have a choice but to keep up with it. Else, we will be left behind.
