The Backstory

Emma moved over to London from Ireland a few years ago, to see what London life was like. She planned to be here for a year or two and has stayed for a lot longer. She loved how busy and fun the city is, she also appreciates the great career opportunities she has been able to access here.

However when the first COVID-19 lockdown hit, her Aldgate apartment shared with friends became a lot less appealing! Mainly due to the lack of outdoor space (by lack of we mean there was none) and her bedroom did not even have a window to open for fresh air. They immediately began to look for other places to live, still as central but less cramped and outdoor space was a must.

Eventually she found a lovely three bedroom flat in Angel and it had everything they were looking for. It had large balcony spaces and was closer to parks as well as the canal. They spent just over a year there when Emma found herself missing her home in Ireland. To make matters more complicated there was a serious leak in her bedroom!

She contacted the landlords and letting agents constantly with no luck whatsoever. Some of property had been damaged and eventually weeds began to grow on the damp. She eventually got hold of the agents who had had a huge misunderstanding with the landlords about payments. Suddenly they were threatening unwarranted legal action and Emma and her friends knew they had to find a new place to live as soon as possible. Without any family or old friends in the UK, Emma knew she had to find a way to get home at least for a while - the issue was how was she going to bring all her furniture back over with her?

The Solution
