Seasonal Businesses with easyStorage: The Story Of Kymani Getaways

Kymani Getaways is a fabulous new ‘glamping’ company that offers 10 tent village ‘getaways’ to groups, creating bespoke packages of food and entertainment according to group needs. Launched just last year, it’s a fabulous way to create a truly memorable experience be that, weddings, birthdays, corporate events, stag or hen dos, even mini-festivals.

Run by a professional events‘ organiser, Olivett Asare, and his wife, Melissa, Kymani Getaways offers upmarket glamping experiences at three separate locations around the south of England. The company was born out of the 2020 COVID ‘crash’, when the events industry collapsed. In the  Kymani concept, this enterprising couple have found a way to combine their professional expertise with their love of all things camping, festivals and the great outdoors.
In the process, the faff of travelling abroad with all of the requisite tests is avoided by guests. It’s the ultimate ‘staycation’, providing outdoor locations and distancing as standard, whilst still allowing a little glamour and creature comfort. Hot showers and proper toilets come as standard!

With half board (all breakfasts and dinners cooked by onsite caterers), teas and coffees all day included, as well as the electric supply and logs for the burners, their prices also look competitive and free from hidden pricing shocks!


Olivett is currently finalising their locations for this year (2022). He’s prepared to tell me that one is confirmed for East Sussex, but will only give me teasers about the other two locations pending their launches. One is by the sea and the other is in beautiful countryside, he hints. I can’t wait for him to reveal them and, frankly, wish I’d known about this option before making plans for my birthday later this year. It would have been a lot less work! You can pre-book bars, music and classes including yoga. Essentially, it’s a tailored, custom-made experience.

Whilst Olivett and I are chatting, there’s happy noisy fun going on in the background. The children are home from school. I’d stake my life this lovely family will work hard to make your stay fun. Olivett’s past events have included as many as 10 thousand visitors with 300 different languages, so logistically, this is water off a duck’s back. He is well accustomed to bringing communities together and is clearly relishing the challenges, from using his car to jumpstart a generator, to being asked by others to help manage their sites.

“There are no problems, only solutions” is his mantra.

It’s naturally a seasonal summer business thanks to the great British weather (although somehow the romantic in me feels that warm tents glamping in the snow sounds like it might be fun, too). Three villages of ten brand new tepees, each with a double and two single beds, the wood burners, linens and all the home comforts from inside the tepees, plus a central giant tepee with a banqueting table, library, lounge and games area, and a central stage, all need dismantling at the end of each season. Power generators and the equipment that creates light and electric power points for each tent need packing away and cleaning ready for next season, whilst the grass gets a chance to grow back.

And, of course, all of this needs somewhere to stay safe and dry until the start of the next glamping season. Jamie Domican, of easyStorage Hampshire, was at hand to help at the end of the company’s hugely successful first season last year, and this is a partnership that works well for everyone.

Not only was Jamie able to help a with pricing, but his team have also been at the end of the phone with a real ‘human touch’ that would rarely be experienced with other types of self-storage, particularly branches of big companies where policies give them limited wriggle room on services or pricing.

This kind of personalised ‘win-win’ is what draws businesses to use easyStorage for their storage needs. We’d be the first to agree that ‘mobile storage’ isn’t for every business. Ones that use their facilities as warehouses come offices for daily access and dispatch, for example, are unlikely to find the mobile storage offering ideal for them. Yet for organised companies whose storage needs are longer-term or predictable (for example, event stands, stored accounts or marketing materials), the collection and return storage system is ideal and saves them both money and headaches by collecting and returning goods.

“We really couldn’t have asked for anything better,” said Olivett, unprompted. High praise indeed from a man with such high standards and massive experience in logistics.
