Remembrance Sunday

The second Sunday in November is traditionally Remembrance Sunday, a day to remember and commemoratethose who gave, and continue giving, service – and even their lives – in conflict.

This year’s two minute silences on November 8 (2020) at 11am will be particularly poignant. Covid-19has put paid to the annual remembrance service. Usually attended by leaders of the church, the military and the royal family, and celebrated for decades at the Cenotaph in central London, this year’s ceremony has had to be cancelled.

We would therefore like to add our voices to those celebrating Remembrance Sunday this year, alone or together: thank you to the armed services personnel doing a tough job in difficult times.

Whatever the politics of these conflicts, we at easyStorage salute those who step forward to servet heir country, and whilst popping a poppy on our blog is a small, easy thing to do, we hope that this small gesture adds to those of others, and sends the strong message of thanks to our service personnel.

Let’s hope that this time next year we’ll be able to doubly celebrate.

Meeting Halfway with a Messy Roommate

Living with a roommate has its pros and cons, whether you are college students or professionals who live under the same roof. The advantage is, we get to have someone to share the bills and rents with, especially if you are living in a city where rent is, normally, at a premium. However, the downside is when you don’t have the same set of standards, especially when it comes to managing your apartment and maintaining its cleanliness. You are fortunate enough if both of you are neat freaks, then, everything in your apartment will be smooth and easy. But, what if you are not on the same page? Then, that could be a problem. Having an unhealthy argument is the last thing you want when it comes to dealing with an issue.
