‘Hot Off the Press’: Alex Fulcher joins easyStorage

Taking the wheel to drive forward easyStorage’s social media is Alex Fulcher.

She joins the company from a not-for-profit organisation, Buckinghamshire Business First, where she started under lockdown on a project to revamp and ramp up their social media, taking it from very little to a thriving community. It was an exciting project, working with businesses and local government on diverse from lowering carbon footprints to improving the careers and skills sector.

We’re expecting great things. Alex is a creative powerhouse, having graduated from the University of Loughborough with a degree in drama, theatre studies, and business.

Fresh from University, she joined the amazing charity, Herts Inclusive Theatre, which is committed to a vibrant programme of theatre activities, creative arts projects, and community outreach work. Inclusive being the keyword, many students are from disadvantaged backgrounds or with learning disabilities, people who might otherwise be excluded from enjoying the creative arts, and Alex threw herself into teaching.

Originally from Buckinghamshire, with family roots in Southern Ireland, Alex today lives in Amersham with a rather handsome dog, Leo. Half Border Collie, half Alaskan Malamute (husky type), Alex is often stopped by Leo’s admirers whilst out walking, notably commenting on his amazing eyebrows.

Leo paid a visit to easyStorage HQ to inspect our vans and pods, he thought it was paws-itively fantastic!

It’s a good job boyfriend Andy can cope with the limelight! He is an English and Film teacher who lives in Chesham, and the pair regularly write together. They met during lockdown, and luckily for Leo their first date was a socially distanced walk and picnic, a habit they maintain today.

Never one for the mundane, Alex won a university award for a powerful piece of applied theatre, providing audience members with the opportunity to experience a small part of real-life refugees' stories.

In a previous role in post-production, she met celebrities including Chris Tarrant and Imelda Staunton. Competition, we suspect, for Irene Kapetanaki, the easyStorage Partnerships Manager, and to date the only one of the team (as far as we’re aware), to have held an Oscar!

She’s found the time, between all these amazing projects, to go travelling, notably to New Zealand and Australia, where she’s jumped from a plane and learned to scuba dive. (She even persuaded her mother to do a skydive with her!)

Alex has great ambitions for easyStorage’s social media. I’ll be watching closely, as can you, on the following channels:

Facebook: @easyStorageOfficial

Twitter: @easyStorage_UK

LinkedIn: easystorage

Instagram: easystorage_uk

Of course, the one we’re watching with interest, given Alex’ background, is the YouTube channel.

Good luck in the new role, Alex. We can’t wait to see how the easyStorage social media grows from here!

Traditional Storage Vs. easyStorage: Which One is Better

As Hassan Fathy once said, tradition is the social equivalent of personal habits. Habit, comfort zone, belief – these are just some of the words we can associate with the word "tradition." It is something that has been part of our lives that is so difficult to get rid of. Being open to innovation is hard for people who do not welcome the idea of getting out of their comfort zone. The hassle and inconvenience of learning new things are some of the reasons why people do not accept change. However, change is the only permanent thing in the world. We do not have a choice but to keep up with it. Else, we will be left behind.
