Continuous Improvement, Transport Team Style

On Friday July 16, 2021, the easyStorage transport team met at the new company storage facility in Uxbridge

Now able to meet, after carefully abiding by COVID regulations, the existing team from the Hanger Lane depot all attended the get-together. On the agenda?  How to continue improving the easyStorage service to customers from their perspective.

One of the company values that sets apart easyStorage, and indeed most easyGroup companies, is the careful, seamless use of technology to improve customers’ experience and make things (you guessed it!) easy.

There’s some new technology being introduced across the whole easyStorage network, which was a big topic of discussion. I’ll have to leave you with this as a ‘teaser’ - we’ll tell you more about this later, once it’s been rolled out.

The team also spent time discussing how to further improve communication with customers ahead of working with them (collecting or delivering their belongings).

At 4.8/5, the easyStorage TrustPilot profile is great, but until it’s perfect, there’s room for improvement. The team shared their experiences and ideas, some of which will be passed on to all easyStorage franchises across the country.

We’ve included a few photos of the day for you here, but it was not all plain sailing and agreement. Over the sausage and bacon rolls, coffee and tea that kicked off the day, there was much controversy. It was one of the few heated discussions of the day. In a good-natured battle, the team were split right down the middle: HP Sauce or Tomato Ketchup. (For the record, my heart’s with the ketchup crowd!)

For some things in life, there are just no simple answers!

5 Tips in Creating a Workspace in Your Small Apartment

Dedicating a workspace or a home office should be equally valuable as any part of your apartment whether this is for a remote job or line of work is something that can be done at the comfort of your own home. More often than not, we tend to put this last on our list as sometimes we resort to our bedroom or living room as our go-to workspace. But hey, who doesn’t want working at the comfort of your bed with your PJs on while reviewing your business report? Think again. According to Harvard Business Review’s Guide to Being More Productive, “Unless you are careful to maintain boundaries, you may start to feel like you’re always at work and losing a place to come home to.” Working and sleeping in the same area is not a good idea as you tend to lose your work-life balance, which eventually will lead you to stress and being burnt out from work and feels like you don’t have a life anymore.
