Cheap storage: how do we do it?

It’s a question we’re often asked – how can we keep our prices so low whilst offering such great personal service?

Here’s just five of the ways we are able to offer cheap storage – up to 50% cheaper than our competitors.

1.     Booking service

Our efficient online booking service means people can book quickly and easily online, even getting an online quote or booking at any time day or night.

This means we don’t spend time and resources playing telephone tag with customers to offer quotes, and are efficient on our clients’ behalf.

And for technophobes we always have a back-up: a phone line during office hours (0333 016 4341).

These lower costs and efficiency cost savings are passed on to the customer.

2.     Loading and packing efficiency

Our franchisees' teams are trained to pack efficiently, and know how to make the very best of the space in each easyPod used for storage.

That means that we are often able to reduce the number of pods that a customer needs when we come to collect, simply by efficient packing.

So instead of an unnecessarily large, unused storage space according to what the storage site has available, customers pay only for what they need, keeping their bills as low as possible.

This also reflects in efficient use of warehouse space which brings us nicely to….

3.     Warehousing space

One of the biggest costs in a storage business is premises – which is essentially what customers are paying for. Our business model means we don’t incur the same waste as traditional self storage.

Our efficiently stacked warehouses are accessed primarily by our well-trained staff, who know exactly what is held where. Between this and saving on utilities - we don’t need 24/7 lighting – we’re able to pass the cost saving on to the customer.

4.     Only pay for what you need

easyStorage offers an online calculator to help customers decide what space they need.

Thismeans that customers can make informed decision about larger items like bikes and whether each item is worth paying for the space allocated.

And this way there are less nasty cost surprises.

Thecustomer benefits from the resultant cost saving.

5.     Local service, central efficacy

Each easyStorage area is run by people who owns the business and who’ll go the extra mile to make the customer’s experience great - and help build their business through word of mouth recommendations.

They are supported by a central system that ensures that things like accountancy software are obtained at better prices than a single small business could usually access.

And the customer – you guessed it - is passed the resultant cost saving.

In summary, our fabulous pricing is achieved through a smooth, efficient operation backed by great technology and motivated people, making everything as easy as possible! (See what we did there?)

5 Tips in Creating a Workspace in Your Small Apartment

Dedicating a workspace or a home office should be equally valuable as any part of your apartment whether this is for a remote job or line of work is something that can be done at the comfort of your own home. More often than not, we tend to put this last on our list as sometimes we resort to our bedroom or living room as our go-to workspace. But hey, who doesn’t want working at the comfort of your bed with your PJs on while reviewing your business report? Think again. According to Harvard Business Review’s Guide to Being More Productive, “Unless you are careful to maintain boundaries, you may start to feel like you’re always at work and losing a place to come home to.” Working and sleeping in the same area is not a good idea as you tend to lose your work-life balance, which eventually will lead you to stress and being burnt out from work and feels like you don’t have a life anymore.
