Bank Holiday Blues

Depending upon where you are and how you interpret the current COVID rules, you may, or may not, have exciting plans for this Bank Holiday.

But if your plans have been scuppered or you’re looking for something productive to do for this bank holiday, here are five life improving ideas from the team at easyStorage:

  1. De-Clutter to De-Stress! Excess clutter causes high levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, for many people, so a good declutter is time well spent. Here’s some tips that we put together on how to achieve ‘clutter Nirvana’ – or at least a tidier lounge!  https://www.easystorage.com/blog/declutter-your-life-to-destress-but-what-happens-next
  1. If you haven’t already, pack away those winter blues: summer is about to be here. (It keeps promising!) Here’s the easyStorage guide on how to do it well: https://www.easystorage.com/blog/packing-away-winter-items-for-the-summer
  1. If you live in a small space, why not take time out to help make the most of it? Here’s our guide to making the most of those tiny spaces:  https://www.easystorage.com/blog/surviving-small-spaces
  1. Wanting to start a new business? As the road ahead post COVID starts to look a little clearer, now could be the perfect time to plan it. And of course, if as part of that you’re interested in a great little franchise, we’d love you to take a look at what we have on offer at easyStorage: https://www.easystorage.com/franchise
  1. Not quite ready for that new business, but thinking about a new job? Here’s some of the fantastic opportunities easyStorage has on offer: https://www.easystorage.com/jobs-with-easystorage

We’re not all about the work here, however much we enjoy it, and many of our staff and franchisees will be taking breaks according to customer needs.

To all of you, colleagues and customers alike, managing to get a break this weekend, we hope you thoroughly enjoy yourselves.

To those of you who’ll be working, we wish you a straightforward, trouble free weekend.

And, especially to all of our NHS colleagues who will be working, we wish you a safe weekend.

All of us will come to a point where we need to end our career phase and enjoy the golden years of retirement. People have different approaches when it comes to retirement. Some are spending it on organising and planning to downsize their home to make up for the years that they weren’t able to do it and some are into leisure where they buy boats or RV to enjoy a relaxing vacation they much deserve.

5 Tips in Creating a Workspace in Your Small Apartment

Dedicating a workspace or a home office should be equally valuable as any part of your apartment whether this is for a remote job or line of work is something that can be done at the comfort of your own home. More often than not, we tend to put this last on our list as sometimes we resort to our bedroom or living room as our go-to workspace. But hey, who doesn’t want working at the comfort of your bed with your PJs on while reviewing your business report? Think again. According to Harvard Business Review’s Guide to Being More Productive, “Unless you are careful to maintain boundaries, you may start to feel like you’re always at work and losing a place to come home to.” Working and sleeping in the same area is not a good idea as you tend to lose your work-life balance, which eventually will lead you to stress and being burnt out from work and feels like you don’t have a life anymore.
