A Public Thank You To Our Franchisees

Our customers often thank our franchisees, and their hard work, which reflects in their fantastic reviews

On December 8, our franchisees should have had our annual get together, building relationships with each other – especially, our newer franchises, including:

- Croydon (London)

- Scotland

- Dorset

- The Thames Valley

They and their teams would have been receiving their awards, both serious and fun, and generally getting together to celebrate. COVID number restrictions and safety considerations put paid to that.

This year has been a hard one for all businesses, and our franchises are no exception, and we’re proud of the way we’ve been able to help many of our customers through.

This valuable annual meetup is a usually a great chance for us all to network, to share successes and ideas, to share some food and drink, and celebrate the hard work that’s helping create easyStorage’s success.

So what could we do to make our Franchisees feel as special as they deserve? This was the challenge facing Louise Harris, who looks after partnerships with and for the franchisees.

Christmas hampers

The answer came in the form of food and drink hampers, which were delivered to each franchisee on December 15.

These scrumptious luxury hampers won’t make up for not seeing each other, but should have gone some way to making Christmas a little brighter, even if some of the contents are re-gifted.

The traditional goodies included not only some Christmas cheer (also known as varieties of wine), Christmas pudding, special cranberry sauce (and by special, we mean with port!) and more.

Normally our franchisees steer well clear of alcohol – our business relies on driving big orange vans - but these traditional goodies, packed in a hamper, were too lovely to miss.

Thank you

This blog isn’t about shouting about our generosity. It’s just a way of acknowledging, as we go into the New Year, what goes into running an easyStorage franchise, and thanking our franchisees and their teams for the hard work they put in on a daily basis.

From the outside, it looks like riding around in a big orange van all day, even waving at folk as we pass

But in reality, it’s a business that requires strong, empathetic, customer service skills; logistics and planning; people management skills; accounting and forecasting and, of course, marketing.

We are truly proud of our franchise teams and the work they do on a daily basis. It’s thanks to them that we have the fabulous reviews we’ve had and continue to have.

If COVID has taught us anything, it’s about the value of being together and of keeping each other safe. We can’t be together this year, but look forward to a little more freedom in the coming year.

If you’re interested in joining our team as an easyStorage franchisee, particularly in the North of England, there’s further information on our franchise pageYou could book a place on a Discovery day in London, Birmingham or Manchester. And you can also call us on 0333 344 1938. Like most things, we try and keep it easy!

4 Top Tips for storing Christmas decorations

Storing your Christmas decorations can be a stressful affair. After all, one of the best feelings is the excitement of decorating for Christmas. Closely followed by presents. The shiny lights. Time to think about the boat shed?

As yachts and bats of all types are making their final trips of the year, we’re all thinking about getting the boats out of the water and onto stands. After getting the boat up onto its hard standing and cleaning its underbelly ready for winter, winterising the engine and systems, there are the sails, any deck furniture and all the things inside to think about.
